My >1 year old Siberia v2 is apparently breaking down with a few audio errors at times and the microphone's not working, so I thought it was time to upgrade to something better.
So can anyone direct me to an up to date headphone thread anywhere with budgets n shit, or just within a $140 - $175 budget, and some kind of small enough to attach microphone with good quality within $30.
any help is appreciate it.
(had tried browsing for threads that could help me, but they were all outdated)

I can't give any suggestions but how is it broken after less than a year? Were you throwing it around or something or does it actually only last less than a year? I'm asking because I was considering getting it myself

For headphones good for fps gaming look for ones that are rated for a great soundstage.
For a microphone just get a zalman clip on until the newest mod mics (v4) come out.

I really have to say the Siberia up until now is the best headset i've ever had, they really are amazing and from what I know still the best in its pricerange. the mic shouldn't break this early, i've been as careful as I can be, but I have woken up some times finding it on the floor for some reason. But it really takes a punch before it ever breaks.

If you live in the EU it might be expensive to ship, so it probably wouldn't work :\

I know that's a great pair of headphones but I want to get something that's a bit higher end like ATH-M50 WH or Ultrasone HFI-780, still looking if I can get something even better than this.

The ATH AD700s are pretty well known for the sound stage if you really care about "gaming" headphones. That isn't to say they are great in other regards, but since you allowed the budget for it and the 700s lack a strong bass I believe these to be your best option:

(Note the S in the model name, these are slightly different than the M50)
These are the second highest rated over ear headphone on head-fi and that's a pretty high honor for something so inexpensive. I haven't heard them personally, but the reputation is strong with this one.
This is the go to cheap microphone for attaching to headphones. I've owned it on a few occasions now and its always clear and responsive. If you aren't streaming I see no reason to spend more on a better one.

I recently got the ad700s and I like them. I picked up the asus xonar dg card for $30 to go with it and the zalman clip on mic. The only downside to the ad700s is that it's hideous. I just finished painting mine and now they look and sound awesome
