Way before steampipe I created an autoexec.cfg file, and disabled ragdolls and gibs. I lost my config when I shuffled the partitions of my hard drive around, and now I don't seem to be able to disable ragdolls or gibs. If I try to set any of the related variables in the config.cfg file, they are removed from the file when the game launches.
Help?

put it in autoexec
C://programfiles/steam/steamapps/common/teamfortress2/tf/custom/FOLDERNAME/cfg/
Make sure your autoexec is in that directroy.
Also make sure it is not autoexec.cfg.txt

Also,
violence_ablood 0
violence_hblood 0
This removes the blood on the floors and walls etc.

Thanks, all!
I thought from the contents of config_default.cfg that I had to edit config.cfg. Ahhh the low-interp soldier once again.
