[12:09:08 AM] SSL Verification failed: The certificate is self-signed, and untrusted

anyone know what this means and how can i fix it?

I have tried:
Restarting mumble
New Name
Re-installing

try removing the certificate for the server you are trying to connect to. there's a menu for it in the top bar, can't open mumble at the moment because i'm on a phone but it's called certificate wizard or something similar.

Don't SSL certs have to be signed by CA's like verisign/this to be trusted?

I had the same problem. I kept trying new names until it worked. It was a ridiculous and long name.

liasI had the same problem. I kept trying new names until it worked. It was a ridiculous and long name.

Did the mumble server have lots of people connect over time? I feel like however mumble creates self-signed certs it eventually causes duplicates.

maybe OP can make a new self-signed cert.

configure->Certificate Wizard->Create New cert->[enter whatever you want]->next next till it finishes.

the fix I found for the same problem was uninstalling 1.2.4 and installing 1.2.3

nothing else worked, including hugely long names, signed/trusted certs, removing me as a registered user from the server, etc. So try using 1.2.3
