Droid DNA?

Just checking if anyone here has had any experience with the Droid DNA, and what their thoughts are on it. I am looking to upgrade to my first smartphone (way behind the pack) and I was looking for something roughly 50-ish dollars (2 year contract) since I have to pay for the data plan now and I am cheap. There are a few other options in my price range (iPhone 4, Droid Razr M, Pantech Perception, Windows Phone) but the DNA stuck out to me. Since I am going to be stuck with it for 2 years, I would like to get as much feedback as possible. I'm on Verizon, by the way.

It's a great phone, but slightly old now
I can imagine they will be announcing an updated version soon

@Lange Yeah I've heard the major downfall of it is it's battery life, that sort of disappoints me but with all the power it's got behind it I suppose it's to be expected. Also the fact that I can't add/change storage also stinks, but I heard that was Verizon's choice and not HTC's.

@Tagg It's got some months behind it, but unfortunately the updated version most likely won't be in my price range even with a 2 year contract. Just trying to get the most up to date one that I can afford.

If anyone else has an opinion on it I would love to hear it, so far it seems to be my best bet.

True, its a great phone and I recommend a pickup if its in your price range

I have a HTC One and the battery life lasts 14 hours with full screen brightness and LTE on at all times. I don't know what kind of dark magic is happening in it but I love it. Hopefully the DNA gets the same results

Sorry to bump the thread, but I was wondering if anyone had an additional opinion on the Galaxy S3? I realize it's a little more dated than the DNA, but it has expandable memory and a better battery compared to the DNA, while having a 720p screen and slightly worse processing power.

if you have the choice go for the DNA ( if same price)
There are also going to be some new Motorola phones released soon if you like moto and are on Verizon

Yeah, it seems the s3 has a little more "openness" to it. But the DNA still has faster speeds, so I think i'm gonna go with it for now unless someone else can convince me otherwise.
