I called Logitech costumer service and they told me to unplug the mouse and repeatedly press mouse1 and mouse2 for a minute and then try to use the mouse. Surprisingly it worked, maybe you guys should try this.
edit: the disconnect problem is back now after about 5 hours of no problems rip

Its not a fix to the wire issue.
I forgot the term is for what you did, but I think it has to do with some issue of of static electricity or something.
They suggested it to me as well or I read it on the internet somewhere, but in any case it definitely has nothing to do with the notorious bad wire issue.

I fixed my G400 recently. Its not that hard.
You need to just replace the cable with one from a mx518 (here)
For an idea of how things are inside the G400 watch this video

(skip through the unnecessary parts and be careful with removing the skids so you don't separate the adhesive side from the smooth side like he does)
Just take out the original cable and plug in the one from the mx518 and screw it back up. My G400 doesn't disconnect any more - problem solved.

milothis makes absolutely no sense
Static electricity causing the mouse to USB disconnect, unplugging the mouse and mashing the buttons gets rid of the built up electricity.

So far no problems after doing this, still have to test a bit. Thanks for giving me hope, I will edit this post when I figure out if it helped.
E: Seems like it didn't help :/
E2: Got a G400s from logitech customer support :)
