I purchased a minecraft server with a special deal that makes it 50% off forever unless I stop paying. Because of this I bought a fairly beefy server because why not :p. I don't plan on playing in it any time soon, so i'd like to rent it out. Due to the high amount of RAM, it's pretty good for hosting FTB if you're interested in that. i'll help with installing mods and general server upkeep, whatever it may be, if needed.
Of course you get control panel/ftp access.
2GB RAM
maximum amount of 42 players, with light plugin use
10gb disk space
hosted on the east coast, not completely sure (doesn't say where exactly)
$7.48 to break even. also have a 10 slot mumble that rarely goes above 4 people, i don't care who you bring in as long as it doesn't prevent myself and friends from getting onto the server.

He's basically giving you an old discount price he has for free. If nobody takes the offer up he'll probably just let the server die/not pay.

if this was a year ago I would have no problem paying for it as a community server, but right now I can't :/
just trying to get somebody who wants it to pay for it so I don't lose the 50% recurring deal.
edit: another way to describe the deal, to get a server equivalent to this with RAM (what minecraft is almost always bottlenecked by), it would be $30 @ tragic/NFO and $40 @ gameservers

i played on the server near daily the first month and a half. i do enjoy playing minecraft, I just don't plan to in the near future. edit: and when I do play, I play with FTB mods loaded which require quite a bit of RAM, making my usual go-to NFO servers out of the question due to price. this server is a great deal for somebody who likes to play minecraft with 2-3 dozen mods, or a lot of people.
