System clock going out of sync

My computer is only a few weeks old and I've recently started to notice that the clock is going out of sync. Soemtimes it gets out of sync a couple minutes and others a couple hours. I've done some googling and every post says that the CMOS battery has died, but my computer is BRAND new. Could this still be the problem?

I'm not sure if this is a factor in the problem, but I have an ASUS motherboard and used their EZ mode in the UEFI to overclock my CPU. After I did that I started to notice the clock going out of sync.

Edit: I've also update the BIOS and all drivers, still no luck.

I had the same problem with my PC and it also was new, it's the battery.
I guess the manufacturers just cheap out on those batteries and some are faulty.
