i hate keits as a person too much to attempt to support divekick, but i'm posting here to see other peoples experiences with the game since it looked alright (but dumb) when i saw it at tournaments as exhibition

what did he do?

just played the game for like 2 hours straight, it's incredibly addicting. it's the definition of 'easy to learn hard to master.' I've literally never played any fighting games for more than a minute, but the game is so simple that I was just sucked into it. it's great.

the game does have a lot of flaws, namely it looks like shit unless you're in fullscreen, multiplayer games have a permanent mic on (you can mute the people but it's still really annoying), and the menu navigation with the two buttons is really annoying (but endurable).

I really like it, it seems like it has a lot of potential.

paying 10 dollars for this gimmicky of a game is pretty stupid

keits banned me from srk when smash bros was in evo for the first time because i made an arguing point about why competitive smashers keep items banned and why it's a bad decision to have items on for evo

and then it happened and smash got taken out of evo until this past year

he also pointed out how bad of a game smash bros is if it can't be played competitively without banning anything and mocked everyone throughout the thread without listening to anyone else's point of view

i don't agree with a lot of his views in terms of fighting games in general and i don't agree with how he is basically making money now off of people who got mad at pre-nerfed yun's divekick from street fighter 4

i thought this was supposed to be a really bad joke for one tournament. I stopped following the fgc around early 2012 and now this shit is a full game on steam? need to show some support to fighting games that actually need some love
