I know there are a billion other threads with info on net settings, but I couldn't seem to find any with info on what the ideal ones are to use on high ping. I've used Chris' settings for bad connection from his fps config, but it still seems... off, to me. What values should I use for bad internet (I'm going to have ~100 ping to most servers) for both projectile and for hitscan? Thanks for any help!
Undesirable ping is not the same thing as a bad connection. You can have shit ping but have great connection quality. I wouldn't use the bad connection if you don't like it, to me it just makes projectile classes even harder.

My internet doesn't seem like it has a bad connection. So if I have a good connection, but high ping, what should my net settings be?

i use all the defaults in chris fps config for good settings
cl_cmdrate 66
cl_interp 0
cl_interp_ratio 1
cl_lagcompensation 1
cl_pred_optimize 2
cl_smooth 0
cl_smoothtime 0.01
cl_updaterate 66
rate 60000
my ping on average is anywhere from 80 - 180 depending where the servers are
i use 0 for projectile and 0.033 for hitscan in terms of interp

if you know how to do a trace route then paste a few here for the servers this is happening on and we'll see if it's your ISP or your routing. There's a chance you're being sent to a line correcting box by your ISP, which ups your ping by 30-40 on one hop.

It's not the routing, it's the fact that I'm living in Alaska now :P

If you just have high ping and no bandwidth/jitter/choke/loss problems don't change anything.
Check for high jitter/pingspikes, choke and loss with the netgraph and test the bandwidth. If everything is fine and you still don't hit anything you are just terribad.
