I have had 5 pairs of headphones break on me in the past 2 months and kind of want to end the cycle. I listen to music a lot, including on my bike while riding to school and other physical activities. My headphones all end up losing sound in one ear and then the other of just snapping. Suggestions for in-ear headphones that wont break? Not a sound freak and dont have too big a budget, they just need to last.

I've been using some cheap sony MDREX50LPB buds at work that I found on sale for $8, and they stand up pretty well. Bought 3 pairs, and still working on the first one 1 1/2 years later.
If your phones end up losing sound in one ear, it's more than likely because the cable is being abused where it joins your mp3 player. Much the same way a mouse might start disconnecting if the wires where the cord joins the mouse shell give out. I went through buds until I started buying only sets with an L shaped jack.

I've had these for about 6 months and have had no problems. I found them a lot more comfortable than regular in ears when running as well.

These aren't really durable, but they're cheap as fuck, they sound decent and they seal quite well. And honestly, if you went through 5 pairs in 2 months, I don't think even "durable" headphones are gonna last too long.
