Is MGEing on an alt really a bad thing?
seems like a way to warm up without people thinking 'damn he must be shit' whenever you do sub par (if you're well known/invite)
except when you do it to farm points :P

does alt mean like changing your alias or is it literally an alt account
because if it's the latter that's a lot of effort to go to just to make sure no one knows who you are(which I can understand for players like relic)

that's one reason some players play on alts

You're playing tf2 it's not like you're a celebrity. Don't see the need for an alt.
5/6 of those players don't farm the elo off their alts so i don't really care
also ruwin is dezolate ~who knew~

actually when you're just trying to warmup and have fun and people are constantly following you around in mge and hounding you about everything it gets really aggravating, so playing when nobody knows you is far more relaxed.

does endif actually help you?
I do it for fun sometimes but a lot of people tell me that it's impractical
I've no opinion on this either way yet

It's a public server. Usually when I see a good player I'll join the arena because it's good practice, not because I want to hound them / be a fanboy. If you told me or whoever to leave politely I'm pretty sure they would. You could eliminate the need of an alt period by just making a bind "say hey I'm waiting to play a friend if you don't mind". Most people would just leave the arena.
Either way I don't care if you have an alt and neither should anyone lol.

The only thing that is modified in Endif is knockback force, so it's still decent airshot practice.
Though I find the default knockback modifier is too high, so I lowered it a little on MGE iT so it feels a little more "useful" because people won't be flying three times as high as the skybox is on normal maps.

While what you say is true, that's not the whole of it. Ruwin said something on his stream sometime when he was on his alt dezolate that he played on for a little while (to which people were fine with) and he said something along the lines of "Why do celebrities wear disguises out in public, so they aren't harassed and hounded". Which is essentially the same thing, no matter what server I join people want to play me and desperately want to win because its either maela the mge lord!, or maela the 6s soldier! or often maela stars friend! Ill join reddit mge and half the time people start talking in voice like HOLY SHIT IS THAT MAELA??? THE STAR VIDEO GUY?? It gets really frustrating when you're just trying to relax and do something you like, which for me in tf2 is mge, so I play on a different account so I don't get bothered by people while I play, thats about it.

I just want to take this opportunity to tell you that when I join you on ammomod, it's nothing like this. I like playing you in ammomod because you're a challenging opponent but you don't surf every rocket and you have really good movement. But it's not because I'm following you around trying to hound you or anything. You used to play a few games with me before you moved on but lately you only play one game and then remove. I know I'm bad and a waste of time probably but I wish you'd play me more.
