I just bought an Xbox 360 controller to play games on my computer. I've been wanting to experience some old console game nostalgia lately. What emulated games do you guys suggest I play? Please mention which console they are on as well. Thanks!
Persona baby
I hear good things about Kingdom Hearts too, but never played it myself
when in doubt, go Yoshi's Island
maybe some Japanese dating game, if you're into that kind of thing. I "hear" Amagami's very good

playing snes beat-em-ups like tmnt and goof troop with a friend is really fun
on another note i never really got why banjo was so popular
i hated those type of platformers where all you did was collect stuff

loved dragon force on the sega saturn. played that for so long
EarthBound on the SNES, if you either haven't played it on the Wii or want to see it before all the fun nerfs.
Some Super Mario World romhacks are good for some hilarious platforming hijinks.

Warsong and Phantasy Star 4 on the Sega Genesis.
The former is a great SRPG like Fire Emblem and is the English version of the Japanese SRPG Langrisser, it's absurdly good.
The latter is one of the best RPGs of its era, honestly better than most of the Final Fantasies of the time. (just don't play 2 or 3 dear god they're awful)

Seconding earthbound. Also final fantasy (pretty much any), metroid prime, and any of the zelda games are worth playing
SNES: SMW, Yoshi's Island, Super Metroid, DKC1-3, Zelda LttP, Final Fantasy 4+6, Secret of Mana, Chrono Trigger, Earthbound, SMRPG
N64: SM64, OoT/Majora, Pokemon Stadium 1/2, Pokemon Snap, Banjo-Kazooie+Tooie, Star Fox 64, Kirby 64, DK64, Paper Mario, Rayman 2
PS1: FF7-9, Spyro 1+2, Crash 1-3, Crash Team Racing, FF Tactics, THPS1-4, PaRappa, Frogger 1+2
there are a ton of other good games, but these should be enough to start with.

I don't know if you're into horror games or not, but Fatal frame 2 and 3 on the PS2 were by far the scariest games I played.
Fire Emblem series...GBA GCN Wii DS
Starfox 64 is also swell.

if you're going for gamecube games, look for Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem
