Is civ 5 any different/better than civ4? Last I heard, when it first came out people said it was bad, then it got reworked or something to resemble civ4

Never played CIV4, but 5 is pretty fun.

For me, Civ 5 isn't a real Civ game. I never liked it.

My favorite is Civ IV with the Rhye's and Fall of Civilization mod (and its modmods).

the DLCs have made the game a lot better than when it came out. Now I'd say it's almost as good as civ4 BtS was in terms of content and depth. Although I do prefer the way civ5 goes about on combat/unit stacking. That and hexes are the things I liked about civ5 on launch.

Hexes are amazing. Combat stacking (or the lack of) is kinda bad imo.

alot of people who are true civ players will say civ 4 is better i think mostly cause it has more micromanagement that's true to the game and the diplomacy is more detailed.

in my opinion i like civ 5 cause of the easier to use interface and there less things to keep track of mainly cause of empire wide happiness level
