need some help with lawena and demos.

hi. so i'm trying to render a demo through lawena.
i know the process -- load the demo, press p when you want to record, etc etc.

the problem is that when i load one particular demo through lawena, it crashes a few thousand ticks in. i've tried skipping to the exact tick that i want but that also crashes the game.
it's odd because when i load the demo when not using lawena it runs fine.

i've tried: verifying cache and changing mat_queue_mode to 0 in the actual lawena folder, reinstalling lawena

i really want to render this clip, anyone have any ideas on what i can do?

I remember trying to edit cvars in the lawena configs and it acting really weird. Verify that mat_queue_mode is actually set to 0 ingame once you load up a demo. If that still doesn't work, try loading a different quality preset/dxlevel in lawena.

still need help, nothing is working
keeps crashing at tick 1346.

if you upload the demo to megupload or dropbox or something like that i wouldn't mind rendering for you and sending it back as a .avi

okay -- apparently the problem itself lies in lawena.
i tried it with demo buddy and it worked fine.

the only problem with demo buddy is that i don't have the option to ONLY have the kill feed. anybody got any tips for it?

Try launching Lawena as admin.
