Also I think a lot of people don't realize how many teams don't want to switch to CEVO. They just aren't speaking up because of how irrational a lot of the CEVO supports are being. (I know that will upset some of you, but remember "a lot" doesn't mean all.)

Rules are nice, and function to serve as positive guidelines for producing quality submissions, but ultimately it's enigma's decision to do whatever the fuck he wants with his website. You called out an admin, and he responded by banning you. Your overly-dramatic banter only goes to show that you didn't really learn anything about how to compose yourself on this site from being banned.

Also no. I always follow the forum rules to keep this a nice place and I expect the same basic decency from everyone else and, above all, the admin that made these rules.

I don't care enough about my tf.tv membership to consider something stupid like "composing myself on this website" to not get banned, aside from that being hypocritical and stupid.
I just follow the rules and expect that to be enough. And if an admin feels like banning me for a valid post that just so happens to criticize one of his posts, I just have to leave the site.

I'm having a hard fuckin' time understanding how the motivation to keep playing because of there being a finals LAN event is worth more than making the move to a more trustworthy league that won't shit on your computer to make some extra money.

Shouldn't assisting your very own community in rebuilding and ultimately becoming stronger as a scene be more motivation to play than a paycheck? If not, then I guess it only makes $ense you'd stick with ESEA.

We're not asking that everyone abandons esea, obviously that is their own choice to make. We're just trying to create a 2nd league option for players to play in. From what has been said so far, it seems like cevo is going to go the 1 match per week route - initially, at least. Some teams are going to abandon esea and some teams aren't. To those who aren't going to do so, we'd like you to participate in both leagues and give cevo a shot. Obviously for the invite players it isn't going to be their #1 priority. That's fine. It used to be a fairly common practice for teams to be in 2 leagues. I doubt anyone remembers "twl-invite", but half of esea invite participated in it while still participating in esea. There will be prize pots up for the taking, and who knows, maybe you could put that money towards your esea lan travel costs.

Don't shun cevo just because you think esea is better. Be supportive of it and maybe one day it will grow into something bigger and better than esea.

Making a claim that this big CEVO push is going to make the league "ultimately stronger" is pretty hilarious. We should all just throw logic out the window and not think about how splitting up the community might be a bad thing.

No, they are not. I was jokingly comparing him to hitler in an insinuation to his "dictatorial" actions of banning people for opposing his opinion. I was not seriously implying that he bears any resemblance to Hitler and I did not accuse him of murdering 6 million innocents.

And a split isn't necessarily a bad thing. There's no reason in this scenario to look at the negatives of something otherwise positive, which in this case is giving players another, potentially better (in the future) option.

any split in a community that's playing the same game/game mode/ruleset is a bad thing. we cannot say "here's esea(or cevo, whatever), it has 120 teams" instead it's "ok here's esea, they have 70 teams, this ugc league has 30, and cevo has 20."

we aren't fucking car shopping, we don't need options, we're trying to keep a game alive. we need unity and strong leaders making sure players wants/needs are taken care of.

I remember playing 4 matches a week with CEVO/ESEA and when that died, it felt weird only playing 2 matches a week =/.
