The reason I ask is because the commands are crashing my game when I use secure and load up an STV demo to test it. I can load up any STV and as soon as I exec the .cfg file with the commands in it my game crashes. If I pre-load the commands and try to load up the demo I crash as well.

I believe this may be a HUD issue...? How do I solve it. Do I need to add HUD elements for the uber percentages? Can you upload those specific files that I can insert into my HUD? Or is there a version of AdvSpec that does not include the uber percentages?

OK found out that it was not a HUD issue after all. I had 5 files sitting in my tf/custom folder.

Namely:

    advspec.vdf
    advspec_b2
    advspec_b2.vpk.sound.cache
    spec_helper_v0.1
    spec_helper_v0.1.vpk.sound.cache

After I deleted these files I stopped crashing.
Not sure if anyone will have this same problem but oh well now you know.

Hi I have a problem with the medic info, as you can see in the screenshot it's on top right instead of top left and I was wondering if it's possible to change its position and/or resize it and in which .res file we can find it.

Spent a little bit of time trying to fix it a while back and didn't find out how, so you'll need to just turn it off. net_graph 1 works though, but it impacts fps more

Customising has been a lot harder than I thought it would be (each org has a different dll & materials), but you can change position with advspec_medic_info_offset_x & _y. (negative numbers with showfps won't work)

You were right for some reason with cl_showfps i couldn't move it at all. When i turned it off and added

advspec_medic_info_offset_x "l-0"
advspec_medic_info_offset_y "l-0"

in the advspec.cfg it moved right ahead on the top left

Update: Ignore this post, idea scraped

Need a few people to help test b5 while I work on it.
New UI system, only medic info using it right now. Released version will let you customise it completely, though this test is just omp hud style and doesn't show the +% advantage yet, and doesn't hide itself if there aren't enough medics. Offset commands don't do anything either.

You don't need to have omp hud installed, it will work with any hud. Example, default hud

PM me if you want to test it, I'd like to keep this thread for talk about full releases.

I want to check:
- I'm bundling all the right files,
- if anyone drops below 30fps. I drop from ~85 to ~35 with this, want to know what others get & if I can make it better,
- and if anyone can make it crash somehow.

For people that want to customise it when it's out, brush up on your html & css styling because I gave up on the normal hud files.
I'll release default hud & omp hud styles so you can see how it works, but basically, if you can make it in a webpage & work on Chrome, 99% chance it'll work the same in game. Omp hud example is hosted here if you want to check the source

Thought about this looking at the casting HUDs feedback posts.

Is it possible to customize the medi gun bars to fill from left to right? Say the bar starts off empty and fills up going toward the right, then when popped it depletes. Just as a way to more easily visualize the uber advantage without trying to look for the +xx% number.

With the new yAhud. I love it. For those curious like me, clientscheme.res needs NoveMedium14, Bold12 defined for it to work properly.

This has now been merged into StatusSpec, in an effort to create one 'ultimate' spectator plugin, and StatusSpec is a much better base for that goal than AdvSpec.

Thanks to everyone who gave feedback, and for posting various ideas in this thread. A fair few of them have been implemented in the other plugins, and some are still being worked on for future releases.

I'll be updating the various medic info styles for StatusSpec, then back to being mostly silent until there's something cool to post about again.

Any future requests & feedback can go in the StatusSpec thread.
