weird brightness problem

so, basically 30 minutes ago my game has been freaking out. The brightness goes really high for a second, flashes that way and then it goes back to normal every second. I recently got a new graphics card, it's NVIDIA GeForce GT 630 and I recently put it in about a few days ago and I've updated all the drivers. I have no idea what the problem could possibly be.

Are you running the game in dx8? if so, you'll need to do dx9 with the new drivers

I'll try to run in dx9, I'm pretty sure I'm in dx8.

I'll try to run in dx9, I'm pretty sure I'm in dx8.

If you really want dx 8 though you'll need to get older versions of the driver, the crazy flashes only happen on new versions for some reason
