The server to be used (yours or theirs) is decided when you agree to a match through a coin toss. If there's any dispute about scores/cheating/anything like that, you can escalate the match. Here's what the page looks like after a match, I'm not sure what it looks like to people who aren't on one of the teams, though.

Looks good. Shows players, date of match, score, and change in points. I like it.
As long as it remains casual then I suppose incentive for cheating will be minimal...?

Is there going to be a seperate ladder for different regions, I don't really want to have to play on 150 ping half the time.
Just a quick question: I have a match scheduled @ 10:00PM EST against "havent", and it says he is the host. How do I know what's the ip/password to his server to join? Or is that not how it works?
EDIT: It's a 1v1 Match is anybody is wondering (MGE)

So, all in all, it's an alternative to scrimming, not to matches?
So perhaps that's yet to come?

It's however you see it. If you/your team considers being number 1 on the ladder as the ultimate prize, then it's like matches. If you don't care about your rank then sure, use it as a scrim finder. This is in no way going to replace our other leagues because tournaments and ladders are completely different.

I see it as an alternative to matches, not scrimming. It seems like way too much work just to get some extra practice in, plus most teams like to experiment or try new things in scrims because they don't count for anything. This runs counter to that. I think it's a good way to play a match whenever you want in a way that counts but has really low stakes.
It seems like there will be a lot of leagues/competitions/ladders competing for your team's time next year.

If CEVO ends up being 1 match a week I see this being a good way to stay engaged. An entire week of scrims for only 1 match would be pretty draining.

i'm always free if someone wants to scout v scout me.
No one has used the 6s ladder at all yet. Add me if you have a 6s team and you're interested, I'm also up for 1v1's so you guys can add me for that as well. I feel like finding matches might be easier on this thread than on the MLG site, I wish people's steam profiles were linked to their profiles there...
