It sounds cool, but my pc probably couldn't handle it so I haven't tried.
It's interesting to say the least. You can see your weapon bounce. It's sort of cool, unless you have an unusual. Then you can't see anything because of the effect.
Are you referring to using the Occulus Rift headset or the cl_first_person_uses_world_model command?
I play full time with cl_first_person_uses_world_model 1. It's the best of viewmodels and no viewmodels and I love seeing my feet.

there's this option in the settings called Virtual reality mode (or something like that). Was wondering what people thought about it.

It's okay, haven't played it in a good 6 months but TF2 isn't really a good game for it. Things moving around too fast everywhere and too low field of view. The resolution of the dev kit makes reading things impossible and projectile weapons don't have much point of reference. Scout, heavy, medic etc work alright though, and you can spam pipes as a demoman okay. You get a headache pretty quickly, hopefully the consumer kit will improve this a bit. I would have to take the headset off between lives just to breath for a bit. VR games really need to be designed with it in mind.
You do need the rift to run it though, if that's what you were wondering.
