First off, I do NOT know if this belongs here. I have however seen a bunch of posts with playlists and other fun stuff on the General Discussion so this might not be too far off point!
Now to get to the main topic at hand, most of you know me from my first impressions on TF2 and I slowly got into the game and dedicated my YouTube channel to create videos about TF2 and I even went as far as starting my own comp. team, through it all you guys were a tremendous support!
Aside from most of the comedy videos on my channel, I really wanted to try commentating. So I recently put out this video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RaZROMoGrFY
It's my first attempt at commentating through a live game, no edits, no cuts, just practicing commentary.
I have a 2nd attempt up as well, but I REALLY wanted to know these specific things:
[*] How is the quality of the voice?
[*] Was the commentary interesting?
[*] What are some things I can do to improve?
Like I stated before, i'm not sure where this goes, if I accidentally posted this in the wrong place, i'd love for this be moved without any fuss!
Thank you :D

Hey, seen a few of your videos from time to time and they're a nice watch, thanks for posting looking for feedback, I hope some of this helps.
1. Quality sounds fine, and personally, the content you speak about will almost always supersede the quality of the microphone.
2. The commentary was interesting, but generally I'll describe to you the two things I find most motivating to watch a live commentary. I like commentary videos where the commentator is either telling a story or talking about something they experienced, or discussing game mechanics/strategies/metas and providing their insight on a matter.
3. I guess mostly, getting better at the game will help. What makes a lot of commentaries constantly interesting is the combination of gameplay thats nice to idly watch while the commentator talks about something. Also, like stated above, I struggle being entertained by these sort of videos where the commentator doesn't have a topic/story that they'd like to discuss. Honestly, I think it would be interesting to hear your thoughts on strategical aspects of the game, weapons, etc, because you are untarnished (for the most part) by the metagames of tf2.
Best of luck!

Wow hooli, way to completely alienate new TF2 players by criticizing them without even being slightly constructive.
What an awesome community we have here.

very helpful post dude.
lemme try.
what hooli is trying to say is that you are better off posting this on the steam forums. trust me, you will find a MUCH better and larger audience there. we don't actually have a problem with you posting here but this really isn't a good place to do this as it does not fit our interests as competitive gamers.

So instead, we decide to completely flame the guy and tell him to piss off instead of politely redirecting him?

so instead of trying to lighten up the situation (since you seem to have good intentions), you straight up tell the guy that we have a terrible community?
