How do I change the size of a hud crosshair?

I use KonrWings, but they seem a bit too large for me and i want to scale them down. However, changing the wide and tall values does nothing except shift the crosshair to the left or right, up or down.

How do I actually change the size?

find the font in the konrwings section
resource/clientscheme
find the font and lower the tall value

Thanks, I was changing it in the wrong file, hudlayout.res
