Even though I'm enjoying seeing ESEA competing for their player base and trying to show that they actually care even if we haven't seen it in a long time, I wouldn't like to see them dropping tf2 altogether.
I don't think I can convince my team to play in ESEA instead of CEVO, so I thought of something else. I created this roster http://play.esea.net/teams/81603 , and I encourage anyone who wants to help ESEA TF2 S16 happen to join it and pay the league fees. The join password is helpthem
Hopefully more people could do the same thing and fill the amount of teams needed to see the season played.
Let's do this and try.

wait are you going to have a team that doesn't even play matches and just becomes dead after 4 ffl's or w/e
that seems weird.

Yeah if it's this, I don't think it's the best idea. I appreciate the support but I'd rather get the teams the right way and have everyone play their matches.

This is just wrong.
I'm all for ESEA surviving but this is... well, pathetic.

He just tried something new because he wants to see esea live and tf2 strive. Sure it wasn't the best idea, but theres no reason why he should be called "pathetic" for throwing the idea out there.

I'm not saying he's pathetic at all. I love alfunkso, he's a great guy.
This is still really, really stupid.

There are so many better ways to use your money if you want to "help save tf2"

It probably would have made much more sense to just join a team as a "backup".

I'd join if this just becomes a pug team that actually plays matches lol

This reminds me a lot of how people say "do it for esports" or "save esports" in the SC2 scene by randomly throwing money at multimillion dollar companies
worked out real well.

Just sponsor an open team.
That's what I'm doing.
