Joining a Team with Number Keys

I recently switched huds because of the previous one I had being out dated. The one I chose will not allow me to simply hit 1,2,3,4 to Auto-Join a Team, Join Blue or Red, or go Spectator.

Does anyone know how to set it up so it does so?

In Teammenu.res (tf/resource/ui), change the "teambuttonX" sections. Each of them should be fairly obvious which team it's joining (in RaysHud, teambutton0 is for blu, teambutton1 is for red, etc).

Change the "LabelText" line so instead of just saying "RED" or "BLU" it says:

"&1 Auto-Join" for auto-join
"&2 Spectate" for spectate
"&3 BLU" for Blue team
"&4 RED" for Red team

At least that's how shortcuts work IIRC.

It worked for auto-join and Spectate...

but Joining Red or Blue does not work.

jointeam 1 - random
jointeam 2 - spec
jointeam 3 - blu
jointeam 4 - red

i forget which team is which exactly but the important part is that some form of that command will eventually get you on the right team

Looked into it

On the hud, theres a line called command, the command is bound to the key by using &#, # being the key you want. In the command line usually goes, "command" "jointeam blue red spectate auto, etc...."

When i mapped the keys for jointeam blue and jointeam red, it didn't work...
still no luck as well with what you said, but thanks for the effort

EDIT: RESTARTED TF2, IT NOW WORKS, but IT ONLY SAYS THE BUTTON IS CALLED 3 and 4, how do i change it to say Spectate Blu Red Auto-Join?

I make a separate label that has the team names and keep the button having the shortcut label. It might work to make the shortcut label non-visible if you WANT.
