If anyone here has been keeping up with the competitive CS:GO scene EMS One Katowice is right around the corner.
From the ESL website:
The 2014 EMS One Katowice CS:GO Championship is the ESL’s biggest and most prestigious Counter-Strike tournament as of yet. Featuring a massive $250,000 community funded prize pool, the tournament will take place during the IEM in Katowice in the legendary Spodek arena. Taking part will be 16 of the world’s best teams, with 8 invitational slots given to the quarter-finalists of DH Winter 2013, 2 invitational slots for non-European teams and 6 further slots awarded in a series of regional qualifiers. Sponsored by ASUS and Intel, it will be the first professional CS:GO tournament held in Poland.
I'm personally excited for this event as it will be one of the biggest CS:GO Events this year. I predict big upsets from teams such as Clan-Mystik and LDLC and the Australian team Vox Eminor.
Anyone else here excited for this event?

vox eminor aren't going to do anything. hopefully coL can get out of their group, group d and a are stacked. ibp should be able to get out of c if they don't choke. not really sure who will win, but i don't think it will be titan or nip.

I disagree.
Titan should win Group A, NiP should win Group B. There could be upsets but they are the clear favorites in these brackets as shown when NiP, Fnatic, Titan, and dignitas were all invited to the Dreamhack SS Invitational(they invited the top 4 teams in the world) combined with their overall accomplishments in CSGO. Group C logically would be either Fnatic or dignitas (favored towards Fnatic), I'm really not expecting iBP to make it far in this bracket but, who knows! My only hope is on complexity in group D but they are up against some scary teams as well, I'll be cheering on all the USA teams but, I realistically don't think either of them will get very far.

I'm hoping that coL and iBP are able to get out of their groups alive. I'm especially interested to see if iBP are able to ride the waves of their ESEA LAN victory, where they took down Titan in a double BO3.

I hope vp follows precedent and performs extra-well on their home soil, it's been tough being a fan of the poles in go but they've been playing better recently and maybe this will be their event
a lot of teams could win or place but nip/titan are the only two I see winning without requiring a bit of luck with bracket draws, a lot of teams can beat one of the two but not both (especially fnatic, who haven't had the best record vs titan)
