Help with charge meters

It sounds like you are beginning the HUD making cycle. I am here to warn you.
Phase 1. Notice everything is a mess and a work around. Cry softly and swear that you are going to stop making huds
Phase 2. Your friend asks you for help with their version of broesel. Decide to help and remember that you used to enjoy hud editing.
Phase 3. Resume work on your HUD project. Realize that you just spent the previous hour and a half making 1 pixel edits. Weep softly.
Repeat until you give up and your hud becomes another dead hud on the hud collections page.

Have you tried watching rayshud hud tutorial? He might have some answers to your problem.

Please don't advocate asking HUD makers without a very good reason. Their time is limited, and I know that's definitely true with rays. He's already popular enough with people asking him questions on his own thread, his stream and Steam.

The issue is that Rays is already known as "the HUD guy" - his friends list is full, he gets at least two questions every stream (usually things that were answered the day before at that), and is doing the videos because there isn't a proper exhaustive resource for hud creation. He doesn't like to admit it, but I know that he doesn't like being known just as "the HUD guy". Don't take advantage of his niceness as an excuse for asking hud questions on stream and interrupting game time.
The forums have dozens of people with hudmaking experience who can answer your questions reasonably fast without having to bother someone whose hudmaking fame has turned them into a semi-unwilling constant resource.

I've got to leave for a three hour class in a few minutes, but I'll try to give you a quick answer. You have to make sure that all of the item meters are using the same "wide" value (in both hudlayout.res, as well as their respective .res files). This will make sure that when they are set to the same xpos, they will be properly aligned. If you still need help, feel free to add me on Steam. I'm typically pretty good about getting back to people who ask me HUD related questions, although I probably won't be available tonight (sorry).
