How do you install custom sprites?

The sprites I need help with is a critical hit icon and the thing that makes the laser dot on the sniper scope disappear. It will also help if you tell me how to install custom explosions and flames and stuff.

so at what point in your decision making process did you decide that it would be a good idea to make a new thread asking the same exact question rather than just replying in the original thread saying it didn't work

Yeah the thing doesn't work when i tried to put bolty's particles teamcoloured flamethrower .pcf file in it, it didn't work D:
