Removing non-hud crosshairs

So some time ago I installed a set of vtf crosshairs. Today I downloaded a new hud and would like to try out its crosshairs, but it seems the vtf crosses override them. I want to get rid of the old pack, but after dicking around in explorer for awhile trying to find the vtf I'm stumped. I searched the forums and found this thread but found nothing concerning crosshairs by following the file path in step 1. Really not sure what to do from here.

Yeah I really wanted to remove the old crosshairs altogether but for now I've had to resort to that.

i found 78 of them in
D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Team Fortress 2\tf\materials\vgui\replay\thumbnails

VTF crosshairs are the ones incompatible with sv_pure 2 right? Try "cl_crosshair_scale 0; cl_crosshair_file crosshair5"
