Phlog is one of those weapons that's like the FaN. It's really dumb but also really bad. No one will use it seriously and anyone that does will be bad.

personal opinion is that the phlog might give rise to some ridiculous plays if used sparingly when the other team doesn't expect it, but if used full time the enemy team will react to and counter it by focusing the pyro. Airblast is still a very valuable tool to give up for something that might or might not work. And yeah, it's a pretty stupid weapon, but I look forward to trying it. Competitive pyro, and pyro in general hasn't had anything new to play with in a very long time (the last unlock to come out was the scorch shot in the meet the pyro update, almost two years ago!) so I'm thirsty for change.

ah yeah. but that's one weapon that I doubt anyone will ever use in a match except for trolling purposes.

If you run Phlog for any extended period of time you'll have to pair it with the Manmelter or you'll open your team up to the other Pyro going ham.

BFB kinda makes it easier for spies to use scouts as a disguise.

And if you're stupid enough to let a Holiday Punch Heavy hit you, you deserve to die by taunt kill.

can't you still cap points while you're taunting? A mini-quickfix uber with a subsequent krtiz uber while capping sounds pretty gay if you're trying to defend a last point.

On a related note: Doesn't really matter what weapons the pyro uses.
I will still have a burning hatred towards the class.

TMP just used phlog for a large portion of a scrim vs a team I was trying out with, and it didn't seem to affect anything in a huge way. I don't think it's anything game changing, and if you see the pyro taunting, you almost always have time to run away.

I think that the use of the phlog could lead to maybe a few sneaky picks through out a game, but overall the pyro will be less effective.

Trash weapon, not even going to be a practical switch. BB still gives you crits for free, can airblast, and you don't have the dumb problem of building a charge to get them.
