Is there any open teams that could get the prize? Sorry, but i canceled my VPN, so I cannot even check ESEA teams anymore from the 10 year ban.

nope, top two teams are one invite offclass team and one team made of former IM/main players on their mains.

PlatinumI'll give an extra $120 to a top 2 finisher that has no sandbagging ex-invite nerds on their team this season. Let's play video games.

Though really it's their money so whatever. I don't think anyone on my team expected them not to change their minds to include IM players.

Arizona Iced out boys don't qualify and neither does Goldman Sachs. Slin has played in 3 invite matches. Rules were clear. I'll offer the exact same thing for next season if you guys want to cut slin and do it again.

Café Monster : Because you guys got third, IF you keep the same roster +/- one player, Blink and I (possibly Squid too, need to confirm with him) will pay your league fees next season to try again. Contact me via TFTV PM or steam if you're interested.

My offer was for straight open players, not IM players back tracking. However since cafe monster qualified (so long as that's not really clandestinez) I think that they should be rewarded if anyone. So yeah i'll go in with Plat to pay their fees for the following season. Good job guys.

But isn't that encouraging teams that should probably be in IM to stay in open?

Sorry, clarification - to try again to beat the invite sandbaggers. I didn't necessarily mean in open. They will be moving up by default, yes?

I think we've played long enough to know who is legitimate and who is sandbagging, freakin. The goal here is for the best competition with longevity.
ESEA should allow the "IM/Invite" open teams to go straight into IM at this point. We'll see what they do. Cafe monster was the one team I thought would be able to take the money. And since they got screwed out of their chance because of the ESEA policy regarding direct placement into IM, that's why we're going to reward them for putting in the effort to try and take it all against all odds.
Technically nobody qualified to win the money but me and Plat feel they should be rewarded for the above. I think that's the right thing to do anyway.

i dont know why after 16 seasons of saying "we dont allow teams to go straight into any division but invite" esea will change its ruling
theyve been pretty clear about this every season

This is the first time ever where a rival league - in this case, CEVO - actually threatens their entire TF2 operation. ESEA didn't have to change when there was no pressure to do so.
You're not wrong in stating that there is no precedent. I think what people are suggesting is that we are working under new conditions now - and that those conditions will spur structural change.
