There's different qualities of clothes. Cheap clothes obviously will fade/shrink/look like garbage real quick. Quality clothes will last longer and look better from the start.

Just get to a Macy's and if you're low on cash goto the clearance racks. Go for designer clothes that are on sale.

If you're really low on luck and don't have any money then you don't have much choice in the matter. That's what Walmart is for.

When I was young I liked American Eagle and the sports companies like Nike/Adidas.

Now i'm into Armani Exchange, Express, Burberry, LaCoste, INC, etc. (mostly because my girl spoils me, I liked AE because it looked good for my preppy style and wasn't overly expensive.)

H&M actually has some nice looking stuff but unfortunately they don't last very long or fade.
