So, yesterday I had my first UGC match.
After a month of looking for a steel team in mid season, I managed to find the team leader of "The Noble Hatters" in a match of MGE (Who Knew Having LFT In Your Name Actually Works). Since they were short of a pocket they took me right away.
Here's The team page: http://www.ugcleague.com/team_page.cfm?clan_id=10720
Twitch: http://www.twitch.tv/thereachfreaks
Aside from how I got on the team and ETC; I streamed the entire event, and was wondering if some of you guys could help me out by pointing out things that could have been done better, or things that I did wrong(other than the occasional fail-jumps and self-damage).

I didnt get to watch much so I only have one quick tip, on middles try and commit a little more. Get a scout and demo maybe to protect your med. Try and take highground and things like that.

SORRY FOR THE WALL OF TEXT
I haven't finished the video, but I'll edit this post as I see stuff I think you could improve on because I won't remember all of it. First of all, you need to understand that pocket soldier doesn't mean you have to be with the medic 100% of the time. Sure, defending the medic is one of your primary goals, but you can also be very mobile and try to get something done during stalemates. At around 4~ mins, you guys are holding 2nd, and your flank calls a rotate. When they call a rotate, they're usually talking to everyone, and you could've easily jumped to the flank with one rocket jump to help out your flank and maybe save your flank + get a force or something. Also, I see that you don't lead pushes that much, which is, well at least I feel this way, one of the goals of a fully buffed pocket; get in there, try to check for sticky traps, do some initial damage, you're 300hp, most classes can't kill you instantly.
EDIT1: Also as Starzz said, don't be afraid to get out there at mid. 2nd mid your combo was sitting in café while your entire flank was out there getting destroyed.
EDIT2: Stuff like you did at 5:40 is exactly what I'm talking about. JUmping in there and getting some initial damage done. By that I don't mean doing a huge bomb that's gonna get you killed for sure, though.
EDIT3: At around 6:30, your demo and scout are pressuring café, while you're sitting on the point, tanking heals and doing absolutely nothing with the heals. Make sure when you're getting healed that you do something with the heals, try to support your team if they get aggressive. Sitting on 2nd tanking all the heals is what will make your team lose the fights if the other team's med decides to go heal his flank.
EDIT4: at around 7:50, your entry into 2nd was good, but instead of jumping the point, you could've jumped the demo, since you didn't really see anyone else with him and you had pretty good health, so it was probably a fight you could win easily.
EDIT5: Also at like 9:30, having most of your team cap middle is useless. You could've left your scout there and secure the ground on 2nd already.
EDIT6: At 11:30, your team should've been trying to protect your sniper, since it was even ubers (according to your med) and that your sniper was your best chance to get a pick at that point, just leaving him alone is basically giving the other team a free pick.
EDIT7: At 12:00, they push into your second, and drop 2 people instantly. You had absolutely no reason to fall back into flank, holding that point and pushing them back was your job. You even had the better uber, but you and your med weren't on the same page at all.
EDIT8: Also, I don't know who's your main caller, but if I was the flank, I'd have a hard time knowing where my combo is, because you guys don't say it very often. Saying where you're pushing/holding once in a while is never a bad thing.
Also, I am by no means the best pocket in this game, so if someone doesn't agree with me, feel free to correct me. I'm just saying what I thought you did wrong.

I recommend not using view models, except for maybe melee. they block a lot of your view.

Personally, on soldier, I don't think it's that big of a deal. It's a matter of preference, really. I don't find the rocket launcher viewmodels that annoying.
EDIT: He switches em off after like 8 mins anyway lol

you stayed with your medic for a very long time so your demo didnt get healed i think. try bombing them, you had a couple good times that i saw you.

ending thoughts: you guys are an ok team but you won that game on dm alone. it wasnt uncommon for a bad decision to be made and then you (Reach) would just crap on em anyways because your dm is a lot better than theirs.

Reach: focus on improving your gamesense and reasoning ability while in game. also try to be more focused in game. cut out the music. also understand when you need to be aggressive and when you need to chill out.
panku: chill out when pushing. dont go lead the push into an area, let Reach handle that. also, like I said I haven't played sunshine but I don't think your rollout was correct. watch an invite game and see what they do.
Logo: dont "panic pop". thats when panku would die to sticks and you would pop on Reach and then he would do nothing because it was a terrible uber. also, realize when you just need to pop to survive, even if the ubers not going to do anything
ld: stop going spy
Ham: dont use DH
Derpy: keep being awesome man. from what I can tell you have the best understanding of the game on your team, so be confident in the calls you make. one thing I could say is to try to be a little less condescending when giving your team mates criticism. that could go for all players really.

reload rockets before switching to shotty unless you or your medic is about to die or you need to kill 1 person who's already hurt quickly
prioritize having your primary weapon out and reloaded fully before entering a potential skirmish
that's all i got
