Hi I would like to ask if is there any way to somehow lower the graphics of the medigun beam because when I play medic it's so laggy. :/
Particle packs, but they don't work in sv_pure 2

I recently saw the medi beam for viewmodel_fov 0, which works on sv_pure 2 and is as you can see here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hdi1uyaG6xU
I don't know if it helps performance though, but it looks like it could do

Its down to personal preference, but i personally like the heal beam because it makes it clearer who im healing. But if you like not having the beam its up to you really.

From my experience, viewmodel_fov 0 does help with preventing stutters/freezes when healing.
If you tend to lag/freeze whenever you heal someone (especially when they're really close), having viewmodel_fov 0 helps.

Actually, if you don't want ANY trail while healing, use r_drawviewmodel 0; viewmodel_fov 1
There won't be any trail at all, try it ;)

Yeah that's what he's talking about.
