Lately, mge has been on a decline... reddit mge died, MGEit died and was replaced but now hardly anyone goes there. And now recently Firepowered mge (low skill but often populated) has died. Why did so many mge servers die, and why does no one go on mgeit v2? What do you all of you use to warm up now/ where do you go to do so?

I think its just TF2 comp on a decline at the moment, which is causing most competitive based servers like mgeit, dm, etc to have a lower player count.

most of the MGE / chicago servers have really terrible loss and it makes it really frustrating to play on, specifically the mge it 2.0 skips repeatedly in addition to having really bad loss

If you really need to satisfy a MGE craving, there is a very low skill server called "[Boundary Gamers] MGE Superfun Partytime" (74.91.124.153:27016) ughh, even the name gives me the chills but it is populated.
MGEit is stil active but only around 5-11PM EST when everyone gets back from work, I wouldn't call it dead just yet.

honestly just let that server die and play at MGE iT; better players etc etc. In the reddit server, it seems like there's always 8+ people just sitting in spectate wasting server space. :|

That may be true but it's also the summer so most people will be either on holiday or just taking a break from TF2 for a while and enjoying the time off.

Well that's what you get for buying a tragicserver. Should really just get an nfoserver.
SYOPSMGE is where I go most of the time. I just get friends to play seeing as nobody goes into that server. Not sure why. Seems like a great server and it runs oihguv. I still haven't seen a reason why every mge server isn't running oihguv, but then again I'm not the most avid MGE'r.

fire powered mge seems to have an ok server population lately. folks from reddit are always floating around, but the player base isn't exactly that attractive and is usually filled with younger less experienced players.

i really prefer mge over dm and seeing as the mge servers are gone/empty i want some people to play against
