Since the new update I have gotten low fps, and now we are talking about the 30-50 fps.
I have chris' maxframes, lowest settings on everything that you can change to low, I have the blocky tf2 thing aswell and its still fucking shit. I have my drivers up-to-date, but I dont know how to install new ones.

Overclock dat beast for at least 4.5 GHz (if you have a decent cooler of course), since all that tf2 wants is cpu frequency (with a shitty card, but an i5 3570k @ 4.5 GHz, I had 160-240 fps with a dx9 config)

What was your average FPS before the update? If it was decent, it won't hurt to try reinstalling your TF2. Sometimes game files get messed up and redownloading them helps (at least helped me when I had issues caused by an update).
Also, please try that 64-bit Windows again, half of your RAM is pretty much wasted now.

Something's weird there, the FX8320 is a desktop processor and that graphics card is a mobile model intended for laptops. Maybe you messed up on the graphics driver install?

This is weird,i have a 8120 and get 120 fps at all times.Maybe overheating?
Edit:Recent updates robbed about 20-30fps :(

I have a fan but it isnt installed so my computer can often overheat.

Do not overclock without understanding EVERY component on your computer. I had liquid cooling at 4 GHZ, it got so hot it fried my CPU, RAM, Motherboard, and almost every wire in my case.

Do not overclock without understanding EVERY component on your computer. I had liquid cooling at 4 GHZ, it got so hot it fried my CPU, RAM, Motherboard, and almost every wire in my case.

tf2 is so pooly updated it's pretty sad.
i went from like 400fps steady in firefights with maxquality to 200fps with maxquality not even in a firefight, dipping to 120 for fights.

Well at 150 celcius and a black screen on boot it was overheating, which killed me CPU and burnt everything else

Removing these protections is overall retarded, even for guys that know what they are doing. I think you can also reduce thermal throttling in Intel, but you can't disable (and thank god).
