Imo the lower playoffs teams for this season are going to be stronger than the lower playoffs teams from last season with the higher playoffs teams being similar for both seasons.

Games to watch

1. The Grime vs. r5

Despite The Grime carrying over all 6 of their players from last season (which is pretty damn impressive, by the way), r5 has carried over a fairly consistent 6 over the past 2-3+ seasons. Players Rikachu, Skarlett, and overseer have been playing well and will probably play pretty well in their match. Players to watch on The Grime include highfive, farnsworth, and Jarrett. My personal pred for this match is r5 to win 5-3.

2. demoman nerf vs. Rastsy Gaming ("thigh highs" on ESEA)

I chose this game as a game to watch because both teams have been practicing consistently, and show a good amount of commitment and teamwork. demoman nerf (from here on out, "air's team") has been putting up solid performances against solid teams, and has beaten Thigh Highs in scrims. However, according to an inside scoop from air, their team is taking CEVO less seriously than ESEA. Also, because .ss is in cardiac arrest, I can't be sure if thigh high's mad man zalfy was playing in their scrims. This match could go either way, but if zalfy is turnt up for the match, we can expect a very competitive game. Players to watch for thigh highs are zalfy, sissel, and carolina; while players to watch for air's team are air, skyrolla, and micah. My pred is thigh highs to win 5-4

Do teams only face other teams in their own conference? I've only looked at a few schedules but it seems that way, can someone verify this?
