you didnt surf the first ramp at the start of the video
Great idea, I recommend putting commentary over it and doing it live instead of playing demos, just my personal preference would be easier for the newer comp players too.
should u at least get the rollout correctly?
edit: fucker beat me to it
other than that sound is good as well

its basic rollout, not perfect invite rollout.
and im working on the whole editing/more then jumping part of the vid

I think the surf up that ramp is the easiest part of the rollout to be honest
There are already videos for this, including my own awful one with commentary to help people learn.
Sh4wn__its basic rollout, not perfect invite rollout.
putting a sticky on the support beam isn't an invite rollout
putting a sticky on the support beam isn't an invite rollout
if your showing the rollout to newer players as something to learn you shouldnt make mistakes/it should be pretty much perfect
There is a difference between basic and sloppy. Using the support beam instead of a crouch det is an example of a basic rollout. Fucking up the ramp slide is sloppy and you should record a demo of yourself doing it right before you post it to youtube and advertise it on tftv.
It's possible to surf the ramp from a crouch det, isn't it?

Yeah.

That's what I was going for in my video in my last post, rollouts that a new competitive player could learn and be almost as fast as an expert rollout, but are easier.
Yeah.

Yeah smobo I wasn't directing that at you. Your video was in fact a basic rollout, the vid in the op was sloppy.
If the first try is not the desired product do not release it for the community. It would've taken another 15 seconds to redo the jump, and a few minutes to edit accordingly. Polished, correct product is what people want.
What gave you the idea that there was a lack of rollout videos on youtube? There are a bunch of those already.
And Hyce is absolutely right. When I was recording my rollouts on his cp_logjam, I'd usually sit there for an hour or more, recording many different demos until I get the fastest and most perfect rollout.
All I'm saying is you should put some more work into things like this, because nobody appreciates half-assed products.

Sh4wn__it was my first try, cut me some slack
you said "let me know what you think"
now people are giving you constructive criticism and you want slack.
THE FUCK

Imo we don't need someone else doing these rollouts AGAIN, there are a billion & one videos on almost every map, you could better make a new thread with links to these rollouts and people who actually spent time on making their rollouts.
You could ask if the thread could get stickied for example.

Wait, it took you 4 minutes to get THAT rollout?? No offense but I'm wondering what you did with those 500 hours

To expand on this, if you were to make such a thread aggregating all rollout vids that are out there, I would gladly link it here for newer players to benefit from. At the moment it only includes one link to a few basic rollouts since I didn't want to clutter it too much, but I think that a large collection of possible rollouts would definitely help.

I'm glad you replayed it half as slow the second time because I almost missed some steps on getting slow to mid.

If you'd like to do a rollout series, of high quality videos, you should be working towards something like This And also Include a demo so people can watch it in full detail on their own
Because your process rollouts wasn't only sloppy, it also missed info that you need, like HP, and how fast it is (timer on top)
