Mouse freaks out on new Mousepad

I currently have the g400s and recently bought a new mousepad, the Perixx DX-1000XXL.
It feels nice and all but when I move mouse too fast the sensor freaks out and my characters starts looking in random directions (hope I worded that right). This wasn't a problem with the qck+.

just use the qck?

not sure why that would be happening unless you coincidentally fucked up your mouse settings...

try using a lower dpi or something

I play with a pretty low sensetivity, since i play cs, and the qck is not enough for jump maps. I already play with a low dpi, so I don't know what it could be ;__;

mousepads are known for affecting the max perfect control speed of mice (meaning that you can move the mouse faster on some than on others without it malfunctioning).

for example you may be able to go 3m/s without anything wrong on a QCK, but then only 2m/s on a different pad.

That mousepad has a lot of X's in it's name.

As for your issue, it could just be an issue during the break-in period of the mousepad. After you use it for a bit it should feel better. Try cleaning off the mouse sensor with some compressed air also. There might be some dust on it that the sensor only notices on the new mousepad since the finish on it might still be fresh.

i play csgo aswell and have no problem on a large goliathus. which was a downsize from my qck+. dont know how you can take up that much of a mouse pad haha.

get a goliathus extended if you really need the size i guess.(my g400s works well on razer pads)
have no idea why the mouse would be spazzing out like that though

I'd venture to guess that because this mouse pad is so much wider, it's a lot easier to hit the max control speed of the g400s which is about 2.5-3.5 m/s depending on the surface and DPI

As far as I know their's 1 mouse that can handle high speed manuevers, the g402 which can do 10 m/s. My roommate owns 1 at it's pretty similar in Size, and Grip as the g400s

I don't think it's cause im hitting the max speed easier with the new mousepad. I tried to swing the mouse as fast as I can on the qck+, and it's flawless. I'm gonna try and roughen up the fabric on the other mousepad if i can maybe.

Try to clean the sensor. It might have dust.

that happened to me with the g400s
its you hitting the max speed faster because qcks have carpet-like friction
that happened to me with the all the time because i played with a super low sens
i just started to use a diff mouse because i wanted to move my mouse really fast without it fucking up

The surface is probably too dense and therefore too reflective. On the zowie fk 2014, there's a similar problem with a lot of hard mousepads, but if you use something like a mionix propus, you get roughly the same performance as that of a QCK+ (if not better). So try another surface.

fuggg I guess I'll try to somehow mess around with the surface, and if that doesn't work will go back to the qck+ thanks for the tips guys

A little update

So, I left the mousepad in the bathtub overnight for like 11 hours, then i let it bake in the sun for 4 hours, then i covered it in baking soda and dishwasher fluid, rubbed it all in with a sponge, then I took a potato peeler, went all over the mousepad a few times, then i took my shaving razor, went over it a few more times, sprayed it with a garden hose, then let it bake in the sun for two more hours and it is a lot better now.

I'm so happy this thing works now, it's gonna carry me to invite cya @ lan
