I crash whenever someone new connects to the server I'm in. Anyone else have this problem? or more importantly a solution?

-dxlevel 95 works for awhile but sometimes my screen will go completely black making me have to restart tf2

and i must say dx9 looks like shit dx8 for life

But my FPS rarely gets above 30 if I use dx 91

this is kind of happening to me in a way. But for me its like everytime i join a new server too. like i can play in one server for like hours but then when i switch i crash. this may be due to new players joining but i am not for sure.

EDIT: This does happen when a new player joins my game. Anyone can help?

I tried everything under the sun. Nothing worked until I switched to dx9. AFAIK its the only solution until valve patches it (probably tomorrow).
