smoboCryptoperhaps a silly question but is there any risk in playing this in regards to vac bans or steam account businesswell, i think you'd have to connect to a VAC secured server to be VAC banned, and you can't really do that

Aren't all tf2 servers apart from listen ones vac secured?
There are actually a few people hosting really early version (like 1.0.0.9, launch was 1.0.0.0) servers.
I doubt valve gives a hoot though.

vac is automatic, and if it trips in any game, you're perma'd from every game on that game engine (in this case Source 2007)

don't cheat
literally not worth it
if the servers are vac secured, they're probably using modern VAC

Well yes but that wasn't what was asked, I think the original question was just asking about whether you'll get vacced or a steam account ban or something just for playing (not hacking) an early tf2 version. I don't think there's much to worry about there.
