youd never confuse a texture for someones head with these on ever
how do you do this?
nvm in the comments it says use mat_viewportscale to get the resolution even lower
Ex: mat_viewportscale 0.5 at 640x480 will render the game at 320x240. You can get a resolution of 1x1 this way.
so i guess its just that +maxframes i hope it works
if theres anything else i need to do post it here please

Unplayable.
There was a really old video that must have come out around 2010 or earlier but I couldn't find it.

There seems to be a difference between the image in #10 and those in the first image. mat_viewportscale always gave me a really blurry image similar to #10, however the images on reddit seem to be rather clear. Why is that?
I also know that I was able to get a blurry image with decent textures with mat_viewportscale by removing maxframes and playing on the default settings.

Makes tf2 look like doom
edit: also I think the difference between the clear and blurry image is the anti aliasing, I wonder how it is changed with this setting

You can actually use mat_showlowresimage, the way to do it is to put +mat_showlowresimage 1 in your launch options.
mat_fullbright is impossible to get ingame, though

renxzenand it still consumes a lot of memory
Render settings would not affect the memory very much.
The same amount of shit is happening in the game, this only changes the way it is rendered.
It would mostly decrease strain on cpu and gpu

Putting mat_showlowresimage 1 in your launch options will not change the textures, it will be extremely blocky until you join a server with sv_pure 1 or higher, but when you do the textures will return to normal but it will keep the blocky explosions.
