Hey, since I know a lot of you use these headphones, I thought I'd ask here. Recently, the right earbud on mine stopped working (not playing sound), unless I hold the base of the cord at a weird angle. I was wondering if any of you have experienced this because I've only had these headphones for about 2 months. I searched around and couldn't find anything pertaining to warranties, so I was wondering if any of you have had this happened to you and have been able to send the headphones back or have success with repairing the headphones.

Side Note: Does anyone recommend the sennheiser cx 300 over the pistons?

This happens to basically every pair of headphones ever, it's caused by the jack getting wear and tear on it to the point where eventually one of the wires inside it either shorts out or disconnects, and it only connects when you hold it at that weird angle.

Are there any good ways to delay/prevent this so the headphones don't die within a few months?

Just don't be rough with the ends of your cords, and don't bend them on sharp angles.

I have the exact same problem except it's on the left earbud.. won't work unless I hold it at a weird angle. just decided to buy another pair as it's pretty cheap.

I had the same issue with my pair within 4 months of use. First the right ear, then the left. In hindsight I should have probably used the foam thing that it comes wrapped in for proper storage.

I just ordered another pair, but I'm surprised others are having the same issue.

If you're good with a soldering iron you can easily fix this, or maybe you have a friend who does.
It won't look as pretty but it will do the job.

No problems here either; been using my Pistons for a year, and had Logitech UE-200s for half a year before that. Never had problems with earbuds, but then I never let the cords get tangled or bent at weird angles.

The weird angle plug thing JUST happened to my Piston 2.0s after a little over a year of pretty heavy use, can't complain when they were only $20. Really want to order the Piston 3.0s but I have the comply foam tips that don't fit the 3.0s.

I found something like that on dx.com, with an even smaller cable, was cheaper as well. GL searching ;)
