Hey, I just wanted to ask you how can you change the font of the HUD so it wouldn't be that bold. I tried using 4Hud but it just showed a completely different font. If you could change it to "NovecentoBook" which is in the resource/fonts folder, I would really appreciate it.
We resolved cobbalt's issue. I made an announcement on Steam, but I'll ask here too: I'm gonna be updating soon but I've fallen a bit behind on TF2 updates, so I need a little help figuring out what all needs fixing. If you guys could post here (with some pictures please) and let me know what's up, I'll try and sort it out.
Thanks :)

When did you last update it?
Just wanted to let you guys know I am working hard on a big update that I should hopefully have ready this weekend. I'm overhauling several things again, namely the backpack/loadout panels. Here's a sneak peak:
http://puu.sh/dpHoT/093ed461a3.png
I've also created a Google doc for 7HUD to track my progress through a version, so you guys can also see how I'm doing.

I've also created a Google doc for 7HUD to track my progress through a version, so you guys can also see how I'm doing.
So the update obviously didn't come out this weekend, but I did pretty much finish. The only things left to do are 4Plug related fixes and additions, but sadly 4Plug is not working for me currently so I can't do those things.
Do you guys think I should go ahead and release what I have (which is still a lot), or try and fix 4Plug and add the remaining things on my list?
You can view the list and what I've done in the Google doc I linked above.

Just release it, 4Plug doesn't matter that much anyways.
I've released the Mac branch, a write-up will follow when I push the Windows version.
V4.10!!!

I feel like I owe an explanation to you guys for my continued revisions of major aesthetic elements of the HUD. I know some folks are irritated that I constantly change the style of the HUD, but I would like to remind those folks that this is my personal HUD too. My tastes and preferences are liable to change at any moment, and my HUD will reflect that. If there are changes you don’t agree with, it’s simple enough to rollback using GitHub’s commit tracker. I try to encourage people to find out what they like in a specific element of a HUD and use that, no matter if it’s from rayshud, medhud, broeselhud or any other. Finding a HUD is all about you, and it’s the same thing to the HUD maker.
Oh, and sorry for the why-the-fuck-did-you-even-bother late update.

Shouldn't HudAmmoWeapons.res also be included in the LOWERED folder? Also, the overheal icon that appears on the top left corner of the health isn't aligned right on the lowered setting at least for me. I play on Windows in 1080p.
Hello!
Would it be possible to make the Medic HUD something like this: http://i1.minus.com/i4eZNzSqAP5TQ.png
Thank You!

No, the ammo positioning is controlled in hudlayout. Let me see a screenshot of what you're talking about.

I'm confused, you only want the crosshair charge label and nothing else? If that's the case I think you can just go into HudMedicCharge and change everything in there to not visible except the chargelabeltiny.
NightGoatThanks for making the killfeed readable.

Fixed the pink and black main menu checkerboard. Chopped off a lot of filespace too, don't know why I didn't do this earlier. Redownload from GitHub
I posted this in the group, but I figured I'd let you guys know as well.
As many of you know, I've had a Mac for the entire time I've played TF2. Because of this, 7HUD has been Mac-centric from the start. That's about to change, however. I sold my iMac over Christmas break to build my first PC. I've bought all the new parts and will hopefully be up and running again by midweek.
This also means the end of support for the Mac version. I will no longer have a Mac so it will be impossible for me to update effectively. The good news for you Mac users is that I consolidated the HUD into a single version by splitting Mac and Windows specific placements by simple code tags. This means configuration and fixing your own placements will be much simpler and I can assimilate them into the full version much easier, instead of having to split them into two separate versions.
It's easy enough to implement: simply find the offending placement, add a [$!OSX] tag on the same line a couple indents away to signify that it is the Windows placement, then copy it down to the next line, replace the [$!OSX] tag with [$OSX] to signify the new placement is for Mac, and just adjust that placement to your specifications. I'll open up a new issue on GitHub where we can keep track of placements that need to be altered and implement them that way.

v4.11!
Some minor updates, just wanted to get something out for you folks :)
- fixed placement of favorite server buttons on main menu for windows
- removed normal/lowered extensions for easier manual switch between hud versions
- added map images to map info panel on server join
- added scroll bar to motd and map info panels
- changed medic charge text alignment to the left to match ammo alignments (will probably mess up Mac alignment)

v4.12!
Some fixes for the Gun Mettle update. I don't have any contract items or anything of that nature so if I missed anything that needs fixing please make an issue on GitHub. Thanks and enjoy! Also, all non-zero values on the scoreboard, such as the kills, damage, and healing you do, turn lime green by default. Not sure how this was done as nothing was added to hudanimations or the scoreboard to do this. Any info would be appreciated!
- fixed scoreboard for gun mettle
- disabled overheal cross by default
- added some gun mettle positionings in hudlayout

If you haven't been using 4Plug[www.teamfortress.tv] with 7HUD, now's the time. In addition to allowing you to make several customizations, 4Plug will now check your version against the current version on GitHub and allow you to one-click download and install the current one right from 4Plug! Redownload from GitHub to get this.

v4.13!
Shouts out to my man 1112e for submitting a few merge requests and helping me with some longstanding issues with the HUD. Dude spent a few hours one day helping me fix lotsa stuff.
- continued adding support for gun mettle (please make an issue on github with any problems you find!)
- replaced the buggy futura font with avenir book for now
- added “to check for updates…” console text when you click the 7HUD version button on the main menu (+ a word from ms. pauling)
- redesigned buttons for the menus (no more ugly orange-ish gradients)
- redesigned quickplay and mvm menus
- cleaned up header in backpack panel
- fixed tiny lobby text in mvm
- removed defunct scoreboard options from 4plug
- deleted random unnecessary files
- darkened stats summary panel when joining a server so the text doesn’t blend into the bg so much
Also, the quality color borders in the backpack are now coded to only appear when you mouseover them. I can set them to back to how they were, but it also makes the quality colors appear in the loadout screen and everywhere else there are items and that looks ugly so I left it as it is.

Yes, you can download it from the 4Plug page I've got linked in the group.

Instructions are in the readme for setting it up in autoexec.cfg. Alternatively, you can use 4Plug to do it.

Thanks colly, I'll patch that in for v4.14. Which, by the way, is coming along quite well with fixing some bugs I've had for awhile.
Does anyone have any Gun Mettle bug reports for me? I feel like there should still be some issues at this point. Post an issue on GitHub if you find anything. Also, I don't believe I ever updated this HUD for Mannpower, was there ever anything it needed? Also, I've known for awhile that the engineer build panels get clipped by the chat if you use the bottom or middle chat positions. I can't exactly fix this because the engineer build panel positioning is controlled in hudlayout, which also controls a lot of other positions in the HUD, so it would be impossible to patch this into 4Plug unless I could single out the engineer panel section. It will just have to stay as it is for now.
If you still use my HUD, thanks for bearing with me through these long months of sparse updates. I hope it will have been worth it.

Some more fixes and tweaks that have been festering in the HUD for too long. I'm also in the process of completely redoing the screenshots as most them are still using the old - now Mac - font.
- fixed ammo without a clip (flamethrower, minigun) having an ellipses as a dropshadow
- fixed bottom chat position clipping with the 3d model
- fixed 4plug not displaying default chat position and took chat position choices off caps lock
- renamed “normal” version to “centered” and took version folders off caps lock
- so apparently the ammo has always been 3 pixels lower than the health. i just noticed this. god help me. the reserve ammo was also 2 pixels above the line. i need to get my eyes checked.
- adjusted the orientations and positioning of some of the 3d models, especially at the “by hp” position
- aligned medic charge to west (i thought i already did this a few updates ago?) and fixed some other positional problems with the medic hud
- continued adding button theme across menus and rounded the ones without borders (backpack, mvm, store page)
- tweaked mvm menus
