Whenever I try to start streaming, or even when I try to preview my stream, TF2 becomes unresponsive until I kill it. If I try to stream or preview the stream beforehand, TF2 will launch and crash/indefinitely hang once reaching the main menu.
This has never happened and I have done nothing with my PC (AFAIK) that would have caused this. OBS and TF2 are both up-to-date.

are u using razer synapse ? its known to cauze problems when trying to stream

Game capture is frequently broken. Make sure to try the other captures before you accuse other stuff

i dont really use synapse unless i want to change my DPI, but other then that i dont have it running
now i can stream just fine without it crashing or freezing TF2

You really shouldn't be using syanpse at all, I've had ridiculous amounts of input lag with it. Just set your dpi/whatever else you need to do and uninstall it.
