KwaziWIRED IS THE BEST
FUCK WIRELESS
G400
DEATHADDER
YOU CANNOT GO WRONG WITH EITHER OF THOSE, UNLESS YOU PREFER A SMALLER/LIGHTER MOUSE, THEN I WOULD PERSONALLY RECOMMEND THE G300- LIGHT AND I HAVE NOT HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH THE SENSOR
DPI DOES NOT REALLY MATTER, THE SENSOR QUALITY IS MORE IMPORTANT

ShiftaG500 has a flawed laser sensor.
so that's why I feel like my mouse is retarded when I use the g500 instead of the intellimouse

You mean older G400s... I've always heard bad things about SteelSeries sensors...
Also, Zowie EC1 Evo is a good choice...

Is there really such a quality disparity in between wired and wireless? if so, how is it noticeable?
Is the same true for keyboards? I just happen to think wireless stuff is really neat, keeps your stuff uncluttered.
I am currently borrowing a friends wireless mouse, and it seems way sluggish even at the highest sensitivity. Though that may be a problem with my computer (if anyone knows how to fix this problem too, that'd be great)
Cheers

You should check out the Razer Mamba...from tech reviews I have read it is just as fast as wired, and that has been my personal experience as well. I also asked a top-EU med (who uses the Mamba) and he said he never noticed any lag...
