Did they get rid of the models folder? I really liked my dark spy and i am unsure where to put it :S
PS No, my stuttering freezing issue has not been resolved yet.

Hergan5STOP INSTALLING MODS
WHY! I used the dark spy mod for years -.- I installed a new HUD because raysHUD was messing with my game.
wcan you see the dark spies through walls
No...it makes the spy more..well spy like. Hiding in the shadows :)
Have a look for yourself -.-:
BonafideI think... I think we found the new face -.-:
Spy face?
What face?
I don't come here often just when i have tf2 related issues because i am usually on linustechtips.com.
I would apprectiate if you answered my question instead of criticizing my choice of spy mods.
Ye thanks I really wanted to know which other forums you usually visit, now I can check if you make the same dumb threads there

How are these dumb threads? I have a tf2 related issue / question and i come to a tf2 forum for answers. I really wonder where the models folder went. Was it compiled into a .vpk or similar?
They never had models folders.
No HUD uses model folders.
Stop installing dumb shit.

Oh, but raysHUD did. Nvm then.
And what you may deem dumb others may think of as interesting and fun (such as the black/dark spy model)
Thanks for clarifying :)
why would you not use the website you DOWNLOADed your SKIN from and READ their INSTRUCTIONS on HOW TO install their SKIN>>>><<??
There is no "models" folder. You're thinking of "materials" RaysHud had it because it heavily edits the main menu more than most other HUDs do. To get your skin thing to work you probably need to make a seperate folder within your custom folder and make a "materials" folder yourself that the game will read from. I wouldn't know for sure though because I never used custom model skins. Also nobody likes your threads because this forum is focused on competitive tf2 so nobody here actually uses custom skins or shit like that.
Skins don't go in models folder, and skins aren't related to huds in any way.
Rayshud had a materials folder because of the main menu colors and such, but if you really want to use that skin then make a materials folder in SteamApps\common\Team Fortress 2\tf\custom\namethisfolderanything\materials\models\player\spy\ and put the .vtf files here.
There's honestly no reason to use skins anyway, they are usually turned off by sv_pure, unless you just spend all your time on servers that allow it.
