This appears to be a different hud altogether ("Minimal FluxHUD" although it looks like it was based on qtchud?). I'm sad because there is no cat on the loading screen and it doesn't show damage numbers on the scoreboard either. I think "update" may carry different meanings for different individuals?

there used to be some files that you could put in your custom folder to make it look like that, but valve has since patched that. It's no longer possible.
