Ever since I've been playing scout, whenever someone is in front of me while I'm trying to shoot at them, I barely move my mouse. For example, during scout 1v1s I barely move my mouse, even when I want to snap onto them. Does anyone know how to overcome this, it's seriously holding me down from going higher.
If anything, it's just a natural reflex, and you're not the only player that does this - tons of others do as well.
do you use your movement to aim? if not you could try that. doesn't help with not moving your mouse, but it could help you not need to move it as much
I drink like 5 cups of coffee. Then I drink beer until my crosshair stops shaking.
I have the opposite problem. I end up flicking my mouse when I'm about to strafe into someone and end up missing.
I think your issue might be that you aren't used to your sensitivity. At least from person experience, that's what's happened to me in the past. When I start using a new sensitivity I'm not used to, I'm unsure about how it will react when aiming, so I avoid moving it too much. Once I've gotten used to it, then I'll become braver in using it to aim.
Basically, just get used to how aiming feels, and you'll start doing it more often.

sometimes as soldier I shoot all 4 of my rockets in the same spot because 40 dmg/rocket is satisfying enough.
