Reposting my looking thread cuz I wanted to change the name of it. I've played 2 seasons for IM, made playoffs last season with Dino Riders. Some games casted on EVL TV. Looking for a team I can commit to for high open or IM.
xattuu has really, really sick medic mechanics, great arrows and awesome surfs
sometimes he gets mad when he dies though.

I remember this guy from tf2mix, he was actually awful to play with. I would hope he has matured but I somehow doubt it.

You would literally add up and no show constantly, and when you would play you would act like an idiot, stop acting like a baby.

I had 500+ mixes any no one has gotten upset at me for not showing up. I just don't understand how you can have such a negative opinion on me when I've played with you at most 5 times

I feel like on one level xattuu deserves the flak hes been getting for posting stupid shit on the forums and being immature but having never played on a team with him I have no way of knowing how his actual in game attitude is (along with how good he is in the first place). Even if he have good intentions he's kind of just digging himself deeper. One thing I could note is that he sometimes gets mad in pugs but that's sort of irrelevant because tf2mix and syops pugs can get pretty cancerous and invigorating for anyone. However, playing the victim instead of acknowledging the fact that people may be right about your problems won't get you anywhere.

Having played that many pugs odds are you've played with toasty more than 5 times and it's not unfair of him to gather an opinion of you off of even a single pug in the first place.

You're right bear. I apologize. I guess I just like defending myself x)
xattuu keeps putting his foot in his mouth on the forums, which seems to be hurting his reputation, but he actually is a very nice guy and clearly has potential as medic. I don't think anyone who has been on a team with him would characterize him as a rager or anything.
his biggest problem, from my experience, is his level of dedication and mindset. it felt like, on the spectrum of players from those who treat scrims exactly like matches to those who treat them like pugs, xattuu fell way too far towards the latter side of the spectrum. he would purposefully go for crazy medic frags at bad times, not to mention go afk or spend the entire rollout to mid talking about stupid shit. in matches, to his credit, he did try a lot harder, and some of the time this resulted in confident and strong play with good communication. however, when there wasn't a lot of time to prepare or he missed a lot of scrims due to irl busyness, it felt like he was rarely prepared enough to play a map in matches, because he didn't maximize the effectiveness of the scrim time he did have. if he realized just how important scrims are in getting everyone on the same page, learning your role in every mid fight, learning the way your pocket and demo and the rest of your team want to play a given fight, etc., he would instantly be competitive at at least a low-mid IM level. it's tough to instantly recommend him based on what I saw last season; however, at the same time, his problem seems to be a very easy one to fix if he just acknowledges the extent of it, and therefore gambling on him for your IM team might be worth it because I could easily see him turning over a new leaf in that regard.
I hope I've been fair and even-handed in this post.
