Hello tftv, this is a last resort thread aimed at fixing a problem I have been having with tf2 recently:
Basically when I first found out about the snd_mixahead command I changed it from the default 0.1 to 0.05, this was roughly a year ago, a few days ago however I set it back to 0.1 to see if I could hear a difference, I found it horrible and set it back to 00.5, however nothing changed, I have changed the value endlessly from 10 to 0 and the sound has the same delay regardless, I'm not sure if it's an placebo affect but basically now I can't shoot projectiles for shit, and I need to know, is there any command that could interfere with this?
Any help is appreciated.

Pretty sure snd_mixahead uses seconds as values, meaning setting it to 0.5 would lead to half a second of delay. Maybe I've got the explanation wrong, but either way, try using 0.05 instead
Edit: looks like you've changed your original post to use 0.05 instead (that or I just fail at reading), so I guess you can disregard my post
