Hey. I'm currently running on a 1366x768 monitor and get around 120fps in firefights. I'm looking to upgrade to 1920x1080 - how many fps would I expect on that resolution?

Probably around the same. If worse comes to worse, you can always just run the game at a lower resolution.
I made the exact same switch about 4 months ago and went from 150 to 120 or so in firefights
TF2 framerates are mostly CPU bound. You'll get around the same, maybe slightly less.

You shouldn't be downvoted because source is heavily CPU bound as you can see in the old benchmark thread. (at least when using a maxframes config).

I have this monitor and its completely worth it...it's probably still the best value 144hz monitor as well.

I've ran benchmarks before, so long as you don't have the shittiest GPU ever or using a GPU off your CPU changing resolutions shouldn't have much impact outside of changing the aspect ratio
Yesterday I received my 1920x1080 monitor, upgrading from a 1360x768 monitor, and experienced a negligible drop in FPS upscaling the resolution to 1920x1080. With your specs you'll be fine.
As for a monitor recommendation, although not 120hz nor 144hz if you're simply looking for a higher resolution monitor this is worth the money. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824014377
Pros: The GL2460HM presents fantastic brightness, clarity, color, contrast, gamma, and response time. This is a great monitor for photo editing or other various editing tasks which require proper clarity, and color. As for gaming, the motion is very smooth without blur.
Cons: Stand is a bit wobbly. Pretty common place from what I see of most monitors now, though.
Other thoughts: This isn't a pro or con, but depending on the viewing angle the image does darken some because of the TN panel. It's very negligible to the overall experience to the monitor. No dead/stuck pixels on arrival, and none so far.
If I were to get a 120hz would the cord work with my 6770?

That monitor is fantastic, and as fun as the 144hz is, its the lack input lag that really makes it a great monitor. Can't recommend enough.
Also overclocking really helps got my Phenom II x4 over clocked from 3.2 to 4ghz and I get a constant 200fps (capped) frame rate. On air with a 3rd party heatsink fan.
Just wondering if G-Sync would be worth the input lag for the smoothness it gives, I was interested in getting a kit when I get the Asus, I heard from blur busters that its worth the input lag for how smooth the game runs. Is this true?
